gpex explains all to design students

gpex gives students of the Chelsea College of Art an introduction to the print manufacturing process.

A group of 30 students from the Chelsea College of Art joined Gpex for an introduction to print at their Gerrards Cross factory. The students were given a guided tour by the Managing Director, followed by talks and demonstrations on pre-press, litho and digital printing by staff.

Kieron Dennis, the Graphic Design Communication Leader from the College said, "thank you so much for your kind hospitality, the students all gained a valuable insight into the print process and we look forward to coming back next year".

Simon Glover, Managing Director commented, "The students showed great interest, particularly in some of the more intricate work Gpex undertakes for our design and advertising clients. This has been a great opportunity for us to exhibit some of that work to the students and for them to get an insight into how their creative ideas can become reality."

Following the success of the event, Gpex hope to run more open events for local students to increase understanding of the print process.
